Quick and very Effective Mindful tip on how to take time to reflect each day

Take time to slow your life down enough to spend a few minutes in silent reflection each morning and you will make wiser decisions each day. What’s the best way to do this? Designate a place in your home for reflection. It need only be as wide as you need to sit cross legged on the floor. Designate this as your reflection spot. Now five days a week go here each morning and sit for a minute. Close your eyes. Take a slow deep breath and exhale slowly. Repeat this three times. Tell yourself three times that you are the master of your life, mind, body and emotions.

Say “I am the master of my life, mind, body and emotions”. Visualize yourself taking charge of your life and feel this as well when you affirm the words. Feeling is the most important part of an affirmation.

Why one minute? Because one minute is achievable. One minute is sustainable. We want to create a practice that we can sustain. Try this every week day for a month and let me know how it goes. If you have children you can teach your children this as well. And the best way to teach your child this is to do it with them.

If you feel you can sit a minute or more longer then use this time after your affirmation to reflect on the power within you. That power within you is your will. With your will you can take control of your life, your mind, body and emotions. After your reflection, get up and have a dynamic day.
